CS organised a validation session with HLSG members. The Alpha version was presented to Mr Cencioni from the EC.

After having set up the Alpha version and performed the validation, each supervisor organises and supervises the training sessions for end-users in his company.

January 19, 2006 / Bordeaux, France - INSCAPE Technical meeting (DFKI and I)

The goal of the whole day was to precisely define all the use cases related to the alpha scenarios and the software relationships between the two partners. At the end of the day, precise data structures and their relationships with the scenarios were chosen.

The main topics were both an up-to-date description of the system software design and a discussion on the programming decisions which have to be made quickly.

A meeting of all end-users along with representatives of the technical and research groups was held in Alterface premises in Louvain-la-Neuve in order to pave the prepare the validation and to decide for the next steps to be conducted.

- Synthesis on Milestone 1 (end-user group, research group and technical group).
- Define the scenario for the Alpha release.
- Validate the functional perimeter of the Alpha release in order to start the specification phase.
- Define the principal research axis for the research group for the Beta release.

The main objectives of this meeting were to discuss about the activities to be organized and defined for the realization of the alpha version of Inscape prototype. The topics dealt especially with ontology and databases, and the way this two functionalities will be implemented in the project."

May 4, 2005 / Sophia Antipolis, France - INSCAPE Technical meeting (CS and Realviz)

The main objectives of this meeting were to:
- Set up a functional workflow that would allow to capture motions on real actors using RealViz MatchMover and play back those motions on CS V-Man characters.
- See if the output files of RealViz tools (mainly Image Modeler, Stitcher and VTour) can be loaded with CS libraries (Vertigo3 and VMan) used for the project.

March 29, 2005 / Darmstadt, Germany - INSCAPE Technical meeting

The main objectives of this session was to propose the possible content of the alpha version from technical point of view and to define more precisely the general architecture and software interfaces between different modules and technical partners.

- Final revisions of t.o.c for D3.1.1.
- Decisions on the Introduction.
- Quick evaluation on our work process.
- Discussions on content for D3.2.1.

The aim of the first Technical meeting was to:
- Precise the actual functionalities of partners' tools and how these tools will be integrate in the alpha version of Inscape.
- Define which are the needs of technical partners to develop the alpha version of Inscape application.

Meeting with gesture based specialists to understand the scope of the 3d contents attached to this particular interactive content. Coordination meeting between two INSCAPE End-Users to identify overlap and possible direct cooperation.

The goals of the meeting were to:
- Define activities (with time limits) for each partner that will lead us to a position that will make it possible to deliver D3.1.1 in March 2005.
- Develop a common understanding of what remains to be done for D3.2.1 (due in September 2005).
- Develop a set of procedures for the communication between partners in the Foundational Research Group.
- Develop the procedures for an internal document review process.
- Determine a feasible time plan for the next few months.

October 21-22, 2004 / Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium - Foundational Research group meeting (CS, NU, DV, ZV, ENSICA/DMI, Immersion SAS, ICNM, AFC)

The first End-User workshop was devoted to present and discuss the pre-requirements forms which every End-User partner had consistently filled in before the meeting. Highlights and a more precise requirements form template have been discussed. Three basic scenarios have been defined to demonstrate the INSCAPE alpha version scheduled for April 2006.

Workshop #2 has been scheduled for Feb. 9-11 in Salzburg to finalize the requirements for the alpha version.
